§ 23-56. Unmetered parking.

  • (a)

    There shall be unmetered, time-controlled parking permitted in the downtown area of the city. The chief of police is hereby authorized and directed to establish immediately unmetered, time-controlled parking zones in the downtown district.

    (b)

    The chief of police is additionally authorized and directed to established from time to time hereafter, as traffic conditions require, additional unmetered, time-controlled parking zones.

    (c)

    The chief of police shall cause unmetered, time-controlled parking spaces to be designated as hereinafter provided, and shall fix the time limitations for legal parking in these zones to be a period not to exceed two (2) hours.
