There is hereby adopted by the mayor and the city council and incorporated by reference
as if fully set out herein, Act No. 278, Georgia Laws, 1993, for the purpose of providing
for the elected school board to be a body corporate and politic with authority to
purchase, acquire, lease, condemn and hold real estate in that name; acquire property
by exercise of eminent domain; exercise fiscal independence and taxing authority;
and for other purposes as set forth in such act.
