§ 10-20. Fire chief to supervise department; reports by city manager.

The fire chief shall have general supervision over the men and equipment of the fire department. It shall be his duty to see that all trucks, hose, and other equipment are properly cared for and preserved. It shall be the duty of the city manager to report to the mayor and board of aldermen any and all matters or things touching the fire department that should be investigated or acted on by them.
